Who We Are…

Dancers Give Back (DGB) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of over 40 WNY dance studios and local businesses.

We are proud to donate 100% of money raised at our events to Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the Jacquie Hirsch for A.L.L. Foundation for patient support and research. DGB was founded in memory of our dear friend Jacquie Hirsch, who lost her battle with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia at the age of 23.

For more information, visit the Jacquie Hirsch for A.L.L. Foundation.

What We Do…

In the nine years since its inception, Dancers Give Back has raised in excess of $334,925 through the generosity of local dance studios, businesses and community members. Our annual benefit brings together dance studios, and families from across WNY to move together towards a cure.

We not only have a fun-filled benefit day of raffles, auctions, dance, food, and fun, but we have grown to include a second day with Master Classes in all dance styles as well! Professional artists from NYC and LA donate their talents and time to share in an incredible afternoon of classes. Held at the beautiful dance studios at the University at Buffalo, this day brings together students from across the area to celebrate each other, make lasting bonds and friendships, and to use their talents towards a cause much bigger than themselves.

With branches now in Dallas, TX and Ottawa, ON Canada, Dancers Give Back has become a international initiative. DGB has inspired dance communities across the US and Canada to come together and raise funds for various local charities.

We are forever grateful for our foundation, our roots, and our Western New York DGB family.

Thank you for believing.

Ali Dietz

Co-Founder

The heart and soul of this event lies in the Western New York community and everyone that has been involved in some capacity. The amount of support from studio owners, dance teachers, the Jacquie Hirsch for A.L.L. Foundation, and the doctors at Roswell Park continues to drive Dancers Give Back to new heights. It means the world to see Jacquie’s spirit and memory live on through the love and generosity of everyone in the DGB family.

Mary Alice Dietz

Co-Founder

It was our original goal in starting Dancers Give Back to help one individual, Jacquie Hirsch. Since then our goal has changed slightly. We are now supporting the Jacquie Hirsch for A.L.L. Foundation, which in turn is trying to help so many. Ali’s friendship for Jacquie has led to a huge outpouring of support from the dance and business community, locally and internationally. We couldn't be more grateful for your support.

AJ Overton

Board of Directors

There is so much I love about Dancers Give Back. To see so many members of the dance community banding together, and using their passion for such an important cause is truly an awesome thing. I am so proud to be a part of this organization, and I can't wait for more and more people to experience DGB. I believe the more we can do, the more lives we can touch, the more Jacquie's spirit carries on.

Julie LaMancuso

Board of Directors

Being involved in Dancers Give Back is a life-altering experience. The camaraderie, community, and love that has become such an integral part of the WNY dance family is due in large part to DGB. It is my hope that we will continue Jacquie's legacy of sharing our time and talents towards a better tomorrow. Please join us in our journey as we move towards a cure.
